I bought it, or I was paid to haul it away. Yet another lathe rescue. Having been dropped, knocked about. mishandled and crashed multiple times, it's been a wallflower for at least 3 years. Made in 1997, it's covered in a stinky red mud oid grease and chip mixture. Seems little used for it's age. Maybe sat in a mining facility and was too little for anyone to be seen using? The good news is that the amount of grease and gunk has kept any structural rust away. The mechanicals appear to be ok. Needs a tailstock rebuild, new handle. stuck quill unstuck, motor fan, power cord replacement. cover repair, cross slide casting repair, chip pan work and cross slide rebuild. TouchDRO magnetic mount. See the shaky video. Electrical controls are a mess. The shear pins need attention and the quick change gearbox is sticky. As of writing, I haven't opened opened anything up. Cleaning first. :)
